| On July 25th
Nikolai Timonin, Alexeij Shamov, Vasilij
Mouzhekine and Andreas Sommer went out to
explore some new rivers in Siberia.
Going out in Siberia isn't
the usual thing. Basically it means to be
prepared and self sufficient for the whole
time, off and on the river.

Driving out into the Siberian
Tundra was an experience itself as we had
to negotiate our vehicle and ourselves via
Compass through the Siberian Tundra and
swamp to finally find the source of the
Chulyshman.

The rivers paddled were the
Chulyshman (from the source), the Chulchya
(First Descent), the Bashkaush, the Chuya
and the Chilli (First Descent).
All rivers involved multi
day (Chilli 8days) self support and had
whitewater ranging from IV-VI.
