An EXPEDITION for the advanced Kayaker with the mighty himalayas as backdrop.

A thrilling kayaking trip on some of the most exiting rivers the Nepalese Himalayas do offer. All packed into a tight itinerary to give you the best river time possible.
Most of the rivers will be draining the 8000m Annapurna mountain range and based in Pokhara the White Water Mecca of Nepal.

Challenge yourself on some of the most formidable rivers Nepal offers.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive Katmandu , transfer to Hotel, equipment check and briefing.

Day 2

Drive to the Trisuli (III-IV) river. This river will be our warm up and play run. Blue waters, medium volume with plenty of waves to surf on. Camp at beach.

Day 3
More surf and play is offered on the Trisuli. Take out in Mugling and drive to Pokhara. Stay in Hotel.

Day 5
We'll take it easy today and enjoy another warm up on the Seti river. One grade V rapid in this otherwise grade III section will prove our skills. Take in the splendor of the views and enjoy Pokhara's scenic lake.

Day 6
Drive to Madi Khola. This jewel of a river lies off the beaten path and offers some continuous grade IV whitewater. Clear waters, great mountain views and plenty of whitewater. Definitely a highlight on this journey. Camp on riverside.

Day 7
Being in Nepal and not to do any trekking is like having missed the Taj Mahal while in India . We will enjoy the Madi Khola for 2hrs today until we reach Karputhar. From there we will head of a trail to cross over into the Marsyangdi drainage. Camp.

Day 8
We will be crossing a high pass (3000m) today before we drop back down towards the Marsyangdi. Some excellent views of Machapuchare and the solitude on this trek will make the walk all worthwhile. Stay in local Lodge in Khudi.

Day 9
An easy hike will get us up to the put in of the Marsyangdi. This excellent river with mountain backdrop will be enjoyed with raft support. The most challenging rafting river will give us kayakers plenty of fun rapids and surf. Camp.

Day 10
Kayak Marsyangdi, portage around the new dam site (yes, this river wont be there forever), enjoy more of this grand whitewater, deep gorges and formidable sand beaches. Camp

Day 11
Our last day will get us some of the best surf. It is a long drive to Katmandu but we will have the choice of canceling a rest day to just surf it up with big mountain views. Drive to Katmandu .

Day 12

Rest day in Katmandu . Not really rest, if you want we will head out to see some of the famous sites here. Swayambunath, Pashupatinath, Durbar Square and so many others which are on the world heritage list. A must do while in town. Plenty of bars in Thamel will make the nights seem to short too. Stay in hotel.

Day 13
Drive to Bothe Koshi (3hrs). The Bothe Koshi is the premiere Rafting river in Nepal (some say in the world). There's no letting down your guard on this. Plenty of grade IV with grade V (rafters will portage) thrown in and only short grade III sections to catch your breath. Plenty of action and so confusing that we will kayak this river twice.

Day 14
If we have enough energy and skills, we will start above the rafting section and kayak the Bothe Koshi Gorge (IV-VI). Plenty of challenging rapids must make moves, big drops and a deep deep gorge. 3-5hours of adrenaline injection. Drive back to Katmandu . Stay in Hotel.

Day 15
Depending on the time of your return flight, there's either time to do some shopping or sightseeing in Katmandu . Transfer to Airport.
