| An EXPEDITION for the Advanced Kayaker on the best Siberia has to offer.
Siberia was off the list
for most kayakers due to the cold war but
the rivers there were the most thought
after since long. Easily accessible with
our Expedition vehicle we will explore
the drainages of the Altay mountains located
in the border area of Russia, Mongolia,
China and Kazakhstan. Great Siberian forests,
plenty of Whitewater and Russian hospitality.

Trip Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Moscow, transfer to Hotel, equipment check and briefing. Stay at Hotel.
Sightseeing around the Kreml and Red Square.
Day 2
Early morning flight to Barnaul , drive
to Gorno Altai. Camp.
Day 3
Drive to Chuya River (IV). A short run to get used to our equipment and Whitewater.Camp. Day 4
A long drive will get us to the Chulyshman Gorge (IV-V). Camp.
Day 6
The Gorge consists of plenty grade
IV Whitewater with long scouting
grade V rapids and some small portages.
Camp.
Day 7
More grade IV-V rapids during early
afternoon we will meet our truck
at a bridge. Restock our equipment.
Camp.
Day 8
A longer section of grade III's before
the river drops again into some mayor
medium volume grade V sections. Camp.
Day 9
More rapids to come grade III-IV.
Our truck will be waiting for us
and we surely will be looking forward
to stretch our legs by then.
Day 10
A late start in the morning before
we had back up the road for the famous
Bashkaush River (IV-V). Camp.
Day 11
The Bashkaush river starts with easy
grade III through a grand canyon.
High walls will isolate us from the
surroundings. Camp.
Day 12
Today we will enter the gorge of
the Bashkaush. The river drops and
plenty of grades IV and V are ahead.
Plenty of challenging Whitewater
in an isolated gorge and region.
Camp.
Day 13
The Bashkaush seems relentless and
plenty of challenging kayaking is
ahead. Camp.
Day 14
Our
last
day
on
the
river
will
still
have
plenty
of
challenging
rapids
and
a
mayor
portage.
The
truck
will
wait
for
us
with
all
the
goodies
stored.
Day 15
Relax;
clean
the
equipment,
repack
and
reorganize.
Drive
to
Ala
Tau
to
stock
up
with
Chocolate
and
other
sweets.
Camp.
Day 16
Drive
to
Barnaul
.
Transfer
to
Airport.
Arrive
in
Moscow
,
Transfer
to
Hotel.
Day 17
Depending
on
your
international
flight schedule, sightseeing or relaxing.
Transfer to Airport.
